2. Restaurant Marin
Bread lovers rejoice! Here, chef Noah von Blöm swaps the English muffin for a thick, beautiful slice of brioche, then handfries a Dungeness crabcake and oven poaches the egg ($26).
3. SeaLegs Wine Bar
We love owner Alicia Whitney’s desire to please a diverse range of tastes, and it seems only fitting that a sensational veggie Benedict ($16) graces the menu. An English muffin is layered with roasted tomatoes and sauteed spinach, then finished with the egg and hollandaise, plus homestyle taters.
The choices are plentiful at the Hyatt Regency H.B.’s signature resto. You’ll find rich orbs atop all kinds of veggies, a crab hash or even a bacon-maple waffle and fried chicken ($16-$18).
5. The Winery Newport
Chef Yvon Goetz knows good tastes, and he’s offering a trifecta of them with his Benedict ($20): crispy pork belly, lump crab or smoked salmon. The sauce? Sundried tomato hollandaise, of course!
